Clinical Director/Owner

"Strive to fight your way forward and not be held down by the past."

Let us help you on your journey by working along side you, to encourage and assist you with the tools to succeed.

Counseling is about striving for progress, not perfection. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17 years of experience as a professional in both social work and counseling settings.  I currently provide counseling services for individuals, couples, and groups, teens through adults. I believe in making sure there is a good fit between the client and counselor and empowering people through focusing on their own inner strengths and abilities. I recognize that each person is unique in their own way, through the therapeutic process we will find what best helps you as an individual. I use a variety of therapy techniques to address problems. I have been providing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapy for an often times quicker approach to trauma, anxiety, and stress for 9 years with high success rates. I am also certified in hypnotherapy, and have extensive training in trauma focused-CBT, and a variety of other techniques. I am a registered clinical supervisor.

   Amber Miller, LCPC

I believe that every person is a unique and beautiful creation, with the capacity to adapt and heal. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and also hold a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology. I graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in 2013 with my MSW, however, I have been working with trauma survivors as a Forensic Interviewer since 2008. I am passionate about coming alongside individuals as they heal, and feel privileged to have the opportunity to see growth as I work with children, teens, and adults.

I started volunteering with a Therapy Dog program several months ago and have seen how animals, like my dog Paisley, can bring comfort and smiles to individuals of all ages, even in times of distress or unhappiness. I am able to offer Paisley as a Comfort Animal during session to those interested. (Paisley acts as a Comfort Animal only when in session. His role in session is in no way linked to his status with TDI, and neither of us are acting on behalf of or representing TDI in our work with Strive Counseling, Inc.)
